Norton’s Resurgence Reaches Key Milestone As Manx R Deliveries Commence In The UK

Beamish, County Durham, 21 August  Norton Motorcycles marks the next milestone in its resurgence with the start of Manx R superbike deliveries in the UK.

Executive Director Richard Arnold was on hand to present the Manx R to its new owner and long-time Norton enthusiast, Carl Parris – a customer of Norton Newcastle at Car Barn Beamish in County Durham.

The handover, among the first deliveries of Manx R, which start in the brand’s UK home market, signifies the start of life on the road for a new generation of Norton motorcycles and their customers.

Carl Parris, who has a longstanding passion for Norton, is among the first customers to take delivery of the new Manx R Apex. His enthusiasm for the brand, together with his appreciation for design, engineering and craftsmanship, made the handover a particularly special moment for all involved.

Richard Arnold said: “Our customers are at the heart of everything we do at Norton, and as an owner myself, I wanted to meet the first customer of our next generation of motorcycles to share in that excitement. This is a significant moment in Norton’s resurgence and the beginning of a new chapter as we bring our motorcycles, and the renewed spirit of the brand, to customers around the world, starting with our home market.”

Carl Parris added: “Norton has always meant a great deal to me, so taking delivery of the new Manx R is a genuinely special moment. What a motorcycle! And it’s actually mine. Aqua Green is such a beautiful colour, the lines are just perfect and I absolutely love it.”

The Manx R is a bold reimagining of performance, luxury – combining handcrafted British design with advanced rider technology and uncompromising attention to detail. At its heart is an all-new 1,200cc engine producing 206 hp and 130 Nm of torque. Exquisite performance is complemented by adaptive intelligence, integrated ride modes and an eight-inch touchscreen TFT display, creating an experience designed to feel connected, precise and entirely rider-led.

The handover also marks an important milestone for Norton Newcastle. Based at Car Barn Beamish, the dealership brings the Norton experience to riders across the North East, combining specialist knowledge with personal, locally delivered customer care.
